The first Bocconcino restaurant was opened at Strastnoy boulevard in 2006 by the well-known Moscow restaurateur Mikhail Gokhner. Concept of a simple, plain and home-like Italian cookery goes back to a small resort town of Forte Dei Marmi, where in the pizzeria of the same name the sophisticated European public, experienced in high gastronomy, enjoys spending its time in homelike Mediterranean atmosphere.
Today, Bocconcino is the chain of pizzerias with exclusive home cuisine and hearty atmosphere of the place, where warm memories occur and where you would like to be back again. A genuine pizza with a crisp made of finest dough, a savoury home pasta, rich selection of meat- and seafood and a long list of Italian vintage wines – their taste cannot be faked, it can be only carefully reproduced basing on the best recipes and traditions of Italy. In fact, the restaurant name means a “tasty morsel” in Italian.
A special pride for Bocconcino Pizzeria is a real Neapolitan-style wood-burning stove fed by acacia firewood. Heat in the stove is maintained day and night so that Bocconcino’s guests could always relish pizza that is melt in the mouth or Florentine-style steak. You will enjoy your meal in laconic European style with a light bloom of antiquity surrounded by ancient coat-of-arms of Italian provinces and nice trifles as if they were carried from a junkshop. Make no mistake – when Bocconcino is near to your location, you can postpone your vacations in Apennines!
